THE UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH
The sports industry has a secret: most women are running in small men's shoes. Yes, really. When most brands make women's shoes, they simply scale down their men's designs. Why? It's cheaper to share moulds, lasts, and cutting dies across genders. Good for profit margins. Not good for women's feet.
ANATOMY OF AN OVERSIGHT
Here's the thing: women's feet aren't just smaller versions of men's feet. The shape, biomechanics, and pressure points are fundamentally different. Women typically have higher arches, wider toe boxes, and narrower heels, creating a more triangular shape. But for decades, the industry's solution has been simple: shrink it and pink it.
LACED WITH COMPROMISE
Sure, traditional shoes sort of work. Laces help take up the slack in poorly fitted footwear. But "sort of working" wasn't good enough for us. When you're creating the world's first Running Slipper, you need a fit that's absolutely perfect. No slack. No compromise. No laces.
STARTING FROM SCRATCH
So we did something radical: we designed exclusively for women's feet. Every curve, every angle, every component of QLVR is engineered specifically for female biomechanics. No adapting men's designs. No cost-cutting shortcuts. Just pure, purposeful innovation.
PUTTING WOMEN FIRST
The industry has been neglecting 50% of the population for long enough. QLVR exists to change that. By prioritising women's needs in every aspect of our design, we're not just creating better-fitting footwear – we're revolutionising how athletic shoes are engineered. Because it's about time someone put women first.
